Description
2016–2026: It has already been 10 years since the main organ of the Notre-Dame d’Alençon Basilica was rebuilt by Jean Daldosso, an organ builder from the Gers region. The beautiful case, crafted by Simon Le Vasseur and Gratien le Gailly in 1537–1541 and magnificently restored, now houses the new instrument built by Jean Daldosso, featuring more than 3,100 pipes.
To celebrate this resounding success, which has been unanimously praised, the Friends of the Alençon Organs invite you to a second spring concert featuring the oboe, violin, and organ. The concert will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Basilica of Alençon and will be performed by the Trio du Levant, featuring Judith Laithier (oboe), Justin Paviot (violin), and Nicolas Kilhoffer (organ).
This concert will mark the arrival of summer, celebrate Music Day, and serve as the opening event for the “Summer 2026 Organ Festival,” which begins the following week.
You are all cordially invited to this wonderful celebration of Baroque music, and it is with great joy that we look forward to welcoming you.
The performers’ performance will be filmed and projected onto a screen.
