Our favourite! La belle échappée" cycling museum

For cycling enthusiasts and others alike, this is an original, surprising and fascinating place not to be missed.
Created over 20 years ago by Ivan Bonduelle, an inveterate collector, the “La belle échappée” bicycle museum is dedicated to the history of the bicycle and the Tour de France, from 1870 to the present day.

Its magnificent collection, the only one of its kind in France, includes fabulous old 2-wheel models, three-wheelers, jerseys of famous cyclists, posters, advertising objects, games and many other treasures, such as an Asian rickshaw and the world’s largest bicycle.

The “La belle échappée” cycling museum is located at 8, rue de la Forêt de Perseigne, 72600 La Fresnaye-sur-Chédouet.
