Fanny, that's what she likes...

Fanny D.S.J.

Fanny, development consultant at Alençon Tourisme. "My job? To support tourism development projects in our magnificent region, with a particular focus on nature-related themes. I'm also in charge of the labelling and classification process. As Quality Coordinator - Destination d'Excellence, I also ensure that our destination maintains its high standards. And if you're looking to avoid blisters on your feet during your hikes, I've got a few tips to share!"

Picnic in the heart of nature

I often take advantage of a sunny day to take the family out with my picnic basket. There are several forest massifs around Alençon where I like to go, including Écouves andPerseigne. I also sometimes make my way a little further afield to the Alpes Mancelles. After a short stroll, I sit down with my family in a quiet spot to enjoy a good meal based on local produce, of course!

Hiking in the Alpes Mancelles

Starting out from Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei, the Sarthe valley is for me a magnificent playground for a hike. In autumn, I like to set off from the village along the Gallic path and enjoy the views over this Most Beautiful Village in France and the valley. The path takes me as far as Saint-Léonard-des-Bois and the Domaine du Gasseau before returning to the village via the Trotté mill.
