“You’re going to be a pharmacist, my son! Indeed, in Stéphane’s family, the caduceus occupies an important place: his grandfather and aunt already proudly wore it on their lab coats.
So he began studying pharmacy, but stopped after 2 years, failing to pass the entrance exam. He then enrolled in a business school, where he stayed for
5 years.
But his real passion was video games! Wishing to reconcile pleasure and work, he obtained a work placement with Creative, a company that pioneered the publication of ‘sound blaster’ sound cards. He worked there for 3 years as marketing product manager. This experience was a springboard that led him into the world of video games and enabled him to join Vivendi Universal Games, where he held the position of European Press Attaché. After a hyperactive professional life, Stéphane reached his fifties and realised that he wanted to leave a working environment that no longer suited him.
So he decided to move from the virtual world to the real one!
He discovered the atmosphere of an Escape Game during a team outing, and he has fond memories of the experience. What better way to give him ideas for a new career! Seduced by the attractions of the Orne department, he worked diligently on his project and opened his first Escape Game in Alençon in 2019. Stéphane wants to diversify his range of activities and develop a real multi-purpose area within the Imaginariums: karaoke, investigation games, murder parties and lots of other fun things besides.
What drives him is the contact with his customers, the satisfaction of bringing happiness to people who come away from the experience enthusiastic. All they want to do is come back!
